We've noticed a strange new fake website domain registration on the internet at the moment. 5 or 6 letter and number domains are registered and then used to mirror content from a legitimate site -

As far as we can tell the fake sites don't contain any unusual scripts or calls they are identical except for the removal of the canonical link tag.

We are removing these in a way that doesn't remove real sites from the system as best as possible as they are affecting technology usage totals. We no longer track .TK .GQ .GA .FIT .FAIL .VIAJES .RESET .EMAIL .ICU TLDs for this reason and will add more where necessary if the registrars of the TLDs allow this to continue.
